• The logo is based on a graphic design that combines the symbols of growth and industry which are characteristics of Nilai Municipal Council development. The focus of the logo centres on the letters M, for Majlis, P for Perbandaran and N for Nilai (the first letters of Nilai Municipal Council in Malay)
  • The Negeri Sembilan State Government colours of red, black and yellow are used as the base colours of Nilai Municipal Council's logo.



  • The Council's crest or the official emblem is supported by six dome/pillars that are different in sizes and represent six main elements which are the backbone of Council's visionary administration structure i.e. people friendly, environmental friendly, offers quality services and efficient management, honest, visionary and technological as well as advanced and harmonious.
  • It also represents the six original Local Councils and Town Boards that were part of Seremban District Council.



  • The flag's design is based on the use of the logo.
  • The dark blue colour that makes up the base and background of the flag symbolizes the harmony and stability of the administration and the overall leadership of the state government. The white colour reflects the image of the Council who are friendly and committed. The alternate stripes of blue and white illustrates the teamwork towards realizing Nilai's development and growth.

Canna Indica

  • Canna Indika, originates from the Cannaceae family.
  • Local Name: Bunga Tasbih, Pisang Sebiak
  • Original Habitat : Many species including from South America.
  • When mature, this plant usually can achieve 0.6 to 2.4 metres (8 feet) height. The soft stem has rhizome that is about 2cm in diameter. The attractive flower comes in red, orange, yellow and yellow with red dots. Each bloom has four petals with a size of 2 cm each.There are yellowish golden lines at the end of the petals. The wide leaves are dark green in colour with a size about 4-5 inches. There are sheaths at the base that wraps the stem. The difference of the species depends on the colour of the flowers. This plant grows and blooms better in moist weather. It is suitable to be grown using top soil through soil tilling process. It has to be watered regularly in dry conditions. It is breeds easily and can be grown using the seeds in a mixture of sand, soil and compost fertilizer. The space between each plant should be 50 cm. This is to avoid overlapping and imbalanced growth that could mar the landscape. The flowers can live up to one to two years. After pruning, it takes about a month to grow. This flower plant is suitable to be grown with other plants that are shorter.
